About Me

I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from Santa Clara University.  I then obtained my Master of Arts and my Doctorate of Psychology degrees in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, with a focus on multicultural competence.

In my work, I draw upon many psychological theories and techniques, including:  Solution-Focused / Brief Therapy; Humanistic Therapy; Existential Therapy; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

In addition to my work in private practice, I am also the Associate Program Director at a non-profit called Cancer Support Community, which offers psychosocial support services to people with cancer and their loved ones.  In my work with Cancer Support Community I facilitate groups, offer psychoeducational workshops, and supervise doctoral-level trainees.

I am a lifelong lover of all sports, animals, and philosophical discussions.  I live in the Dublin, CA area with my family, including two cats.
